SMC Spearheads “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” Cleanliness Drive, Transforming Zones for a Cleaner Tomorrow

Srinagar, Jan 14:The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) took a significant stride towards promoting cleanliness and civic responsibility by organizing a dedicated cleanliness drive on Sunday as part of the “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”. The drive aimed to instill a sense of pride and community involvement while enhancing cleanliness in key zones.
In Zone East Ward No. 02, the cleanup initiative extended from Multeng Grave Yard to Janbab Sahab Astaan, ensuring that public spaces were revitalized and restored to their pristine condition. The SMC teams worked diligently, emphasizing the importance of maintaining cleanliness to foster a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing environment.
Simultaneously, in Zone North Ward No. 12, the focus shifted to Gafoor Bhat Mohalla & Dagar Mohalla, where the enthusiastic participation of residents and SMC personnel created a positive atmosphere. The drive encompassed various locations, promoting a sense of shared responsibility for the upkeep of the neighborhood.
Residents and local community members joined hands with SMC workers, displaying commendable teamwork to achieve the common goal of a cleaner and more vibrant locality.
