IGP Kashmir flags off 1st batch of students for Bharat Darshan Tour

Srinagar, Jan 29: The first batch of students for the Bharat Darshan Tour was flagged off by Inspector General of Police Kashmir, VK Birdi-IPS, amidst great enthusiasm at DPL Srinagar.
The initiative, aimed at fostering national integration and cultural exchange, provides students with the opportunity to explore India’s diverse cultural heritage and historical significance. Organized by the police, the tour includes boarding, lodging, and air tickets, with a total of 651 students and 31 police officers as caretakers participating in 10 batches. During the flag-off ceremony, IGP Kashmir encouraged the students to embrace the country’s unity in diversity, visit historical sites, and cherish the experience, emphasizing the importance of the tour in exposing youth to India’s rich tourist spots and historical landmarks. Accompanied by experienced guides and facilitators, the students will gain insights into the significance of each destination visited. SSP Srinagar Shri Ashish Kumar Mishra-IPS, along with other officers, also attended the ceremony.
