Srinagar, Feb 28: Today, on the 28th of February 2024, Naib Tehsildar Kangan, accompanied by Ganderbal Police, executed an order issued by the District Magistrate Ganderbal under Section 82 and 83 of CrPC. The order resulted in the attachment of immovable properties belonging to six proclaimed offenders who fled to Pakistan/Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) to receive training in illegal arms. These offenders were implicated in case FIR No. 82/2009 under the EIMCO Act at Police Station Kangan.
The properties seized include agricultural lands situated in various estates, such as Kawcherwan, Tangchatter, and Akhal, registered under the names of the proclaimed offenders.
Despite their evasion across the border, the authorities have taken decisive action to attach their assets, ensuring accountability for their criminal activities.
