National Consumer Rights Day Awareness Program Held by DLSA in Kulgam

Srinagar, Mar 15: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kulgam, in collaboration with FCS & CA Kulgam, organized a program at Town Hall Kulgam to commemorate National Consumer Rights Day. Chaired by Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, Chairman of DLSA Kulgam, and guided by Ms. Tabassum Qadir Parray, Secretary of DLSA Kulgam, the event aimed to educate the public about their rights as consumers.
During the program, various speakers highlighted the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act and emphasized the importance of consumer rights. Deputy Chief LADC Kulgam, Ms. Roshan Ara, along with advocates and officials from the FCS & CA Department of Kulgam, discussed the rights available to consumers under the law.
The program was attended by Assistant Director FCS & CA, along with TSOs, storekeepers, dealers, panel lawyers, staff members, PLVs of DLSA Kulgam, and senior citizens, further enriching the discourse on consumer rights and legal remedies.
