PM Modi hails over one crore households registering for “PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana”

Srinagar, Mar 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has revealed that within just a month of its launch, over 1 crore households across the nation have already registered for the PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
This milestone underscores the widespread popularity and enthusiastic response to the initiative aimed at providing free electricity connections to households.
Registrations have been pouring in from all corners of the country, showcasing the nationwide reach and impact of the scheme. States such as Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh have witnessed an impressive tally of over 5 lakh registrations each, indicating widespread participation and interest in availing the benefits of the scheme.
Prime Minister took to social media platform x and urged those who have not yet registered to do so at the earliest, emphasizing the importance of seizing the opportunity to benefit from the scheme.
The PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana aims to ensure access to clean and affordable energy for all households, thereby improving their quality of life and contributing to sustainable development.
The scheme, launched with the vision of providing free electricity connections to economically disadvantaged households, has garnered immense support and traction within a short span since its inception.
