Srinagar, Apr 06 (KNS): As the momentum builds for the upcoming parliamentary elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gearing up for a significant political rally in Udhampur, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi slated to address the masses on April 12.
The rally, scheduled to take place at Modi Ground in Udhampur, holds immense importance as it aims to boost the BJP campaign for the Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary constituency, where voting is set for April 19. Additionally, neighboring districts, including the revered town of Katra, fall under the Jammu-Reasi Lok Sabha seat, which is also under the BJP’s electoral focus for the upcoming polls on April 26.
Senior BJP officials disclosed that the mega rally will serve as a platform for endorsing BJP candidates Dr. Jitendra Singh for the Udhampur-Doda seat and Jugal Kishore Sharma for the Jammu-Reasi constituency.
Dr. Jitendra Singh, the Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, seeks reelection for the third term, while Jugal Kishore Sharma aims for a hat-trick victory from the Jammu seat.
This marks Prime Minister Modi’s third rally in Jammu and Kashmir this year, following significant gatherings at MA Stadium Jammu in February and Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar in March.
Anticipation runs high for Modi’s Udhampur rally, with BJP leaders emphasizing its magnitude as a pivotal event in the party’s election strategy.
In parallel, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to address a substantial election rally in Raipur-Domana on April 9, advocating for BJP candidate Jugal Kishore Sharma in the Jammu-Reasi constituency. Furthermore, Shah is slated to conduct another rally, likely in the border district of Poonch, during the third phase of elections, extending the BJP’s outreach across various constituencies.
While the BJP is yet to announce its candidate for the Anantnag-Rajouri-Poonch constituency, the party’s focus remains steadfast on consolidating support and mobilizing voters across the region.
As the electoral fervor intensifies, BJP’s strategic rallies and candidate endorsements are poised to shape the political landscape leading up to the parliamentary elections.
