Proclamation Issued Under Section 82 Cr.PC for Accused Persons in Multi-Case FIR

Srinagar, May 01: A proclamation under Section 82 of the Criminal Procedure Code (Cr.PC) has been issued by police for accused persons in a multi-case FIR. The charge sheet, filed under FIR No. 69/2023, encompasses various serious offenses including attempted murder, conspiracy, possession of illegal arms and explosives, and violations of narcotics and anti-terrorism laws.
“The accused individuals, identified as Mohd Liyaqat alias Billa, residing in Khari Karmara Tehsil Haveli District Poonch, and Mohd Arshad alias Asif, from Darabagyal Digwar Terwan Tehsil Haveli District Poonch, are currently evading arrest. The proclamation mandates their appearance before the Principal Sessions Judge, Poonch, within 30 days from the date of publication. Failure to comply may result in further legal action under Section 83 Cr.PC”.
This development underscores the gravity of the charges and the authorities’ determination to bring the accused to justice.
