Principle Secretary Shailendra Kumar Reviews Agricultural Development Projects, Urges Timely Completion

SRINAGAR, MAY 17: Shailendra Kumar, the Principle Secretary of the Agriculture Production Department (APD), chaired a meeting today with the Department of Agriculture and Horticulture to assess the progress of various initiatives, including the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Capital Expenditure (CAPEX), and Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSSs).
The meeting provided a comprehensive review of the physical and financial achievements under the HADP, as well as the implementation status of centrally sponsored schemes such as RKVY, MIDH, ATMA, NFSM, PM KISAN, Soil Health Card Scheme, and KCC Scheme. Mission Director of HADP, Yasha Mudgal, was also in attendance.
In his address, Shailendra Kumar emphasized the importance of expeditious and judicious utilization of funds allocated for various projects under HADP and CAPEX. He stressed the need for timely completion of projects and underscored the significance of transparency and accountability in financial transactions.
Furthermore, Kumar urged officers to work closely with district administrations and farmers to ensure effective implementation of initiatives at the grassroots level. He instructed them to engage with farmers and raise awareness about HADP, incorporating the latest farmer-friendly technologies in agriculture and horticulture sectors.
The meeting was attended by Director Agriculture Kashmir, Director Agriculture Jammu, Director Horticulture Kashmir, Joint Directors, Deputy Directors, and other senior officials from the departments of agriculture and horticulture.
