Srinagar, June 04: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has secured a majority of the Lok Sabha seats, paving the way for an unprecedented third term in office.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading in 240 seats, according to the latest results. Although the final results are still pending, the current lead indicates a strong mandate for the NDA.
The Congress party is leading in 98 seats, while the INDI alliance has made notable gains, disrupting the BJP’s anticipated goal of crossing the 300-seat mark.
With the final outcomes still awaited, NDA allies such as Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu are emerging as pivotal figures in the forthcoming government formation, potentially holding the key to consolidating the alliance’s power.
