Jammu, June 7, 2024 – Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar and Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Anand Jain visited Yatri Niwas in Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu, today to assess the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2024. The visit was part of a series of inspections to ensure that all facilities and infrastructure are ready for the influx of pilgrims expected for this year’s yatra.
During their visit, Kumar and Jain conducted a thorough review of the renovation and up-gradation works being carried out at the Yatri Niwas.
They emphasized the importance of completing all necessary improvements by June 20 to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for the pilgrims.
The Divisional Commissioner highlighted the government’s commitment to providing enhanced facilities and a seamless pilgrimage experience.
“All efforts are being made to ensure that the Yatri Niwas is fully prepared to accommodate the pilgrims. It is crucial that we adhere to the deadline of June 20 to avoid any last-minute issues,” said Kumar.
ADGP Anand Jain also reviewed the security arrangements in place for the yatra.
He assured that comprehensive security measures are being implemented to ensure the safety of the pilgrims. “We are working closely with various agencies to ensure robust security and smooth management of the yatra. Every necessary step is being taken to address potential challenges and ensure a peaceful pilgrimage,” Jain stated.
