Srinagar, July 11: In a bid to strengthen police-public relations, the Kulgam police facilitated a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting at Police Station Behibagh. The meeting was chaired by Addl. SP Kulgam, Shri Tanveer Ahmad-JKPS, along with the SHO Behibagh and other officers and officials from the station.
A large number of respected community members, including Numberdars and Chowkidars from Behibagh and its surrounding areas, attended the meeting. Participants raised various public concerns, seeking immediate resolution. Addl. SP Kulgam emphasized that such meetings aim to gather public suggestions and support for improved policing, and assured that the process will continue.
Addressing the issues raised, Addl. SP Kulgam promised to escalate them to the relevant authorities for prompt action and affirmed J&K Police’s commitment to providing legal support for community welfare.
The participants were encouraged to cooperate with J&K Police in maintaining law and order and identifying anti-national and anti-social elements who disrupt peace.
