Commissioner SMC Highlights Need to Stop Footpath Parking to Protect Pedestrians

Srinagar, July 27: In a stringent move to ensure pedestrian safety and maintain order, Traffic police in Srinagar conducted a drive against two-wheeler owners who were illegally using footpaths for parking.
Vehicles found violating the rules were seized under relevant sections of the Motor Vehicles Act.
Meanwhile Commissioner SMC emphasized the importance of adhering to parking regulations. “It is extremely important that vehicle owners abide by rules and not park vehicles on footpaths. This damages the path and causes hindrance to pedestrians,” he stated.
