Congress Expels Ch. Gulzar Khatana for Violating Party Alliance

Srinagar, Sep 05 (KINS): The Congress Party announced on Thursday the expulsion of senior leader Ch. Gulzar Khatana from its basic membership.
In an official statement issued to KINS, a spokesperson for the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) confirmed that Khatana was removed from the party with immediate effect.
“The action was taken after Khatana filed nomination papers from the 42-Kokernag (ST) assembly constituency as an independent candidate, defying the spirit of the Congress-National Conference (NC) alliance. The spokesperson emphasized that the party would not tolerate any breach of alliance unity”.(KINS)
