Pakistan fears Modi, No ceasefire violations on Jammu borders: Amit Shah

Srinagar, Sep 21 (KINS): Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah asserted that Pakistan is fearful of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, leading to a prolonged period of no ceasefire violations along the Jammu borders.
Addressing an election rally in the Mendhar area of Poonch district in support of BJP candidate Murtaza Khan, Shah highlighted the peace and stability that now prevails in border regions.
Shah emphasized, “The borders are silent, and the people of Mendhar and other border districts are living in peace.” He credited Modi’s strong leadership for this positive change.
Reflecting on the region’s troubled past, Shah said, “Since 1990, this area has been ravaged by terrorism. During the rule of NC, PDP, and Congress, communities like the Paharis, Gujjars, and Bakerwals were deprived of their rights.”
He pointed out that under their leadership, Jammu and Kashmir had not seen Panchayat, Block Development Council (BDC), or District Development Council (DDC) elections for a long time. “Today, over 30,000 representatives of Panchayats, Blocks, and Districts are enjoying the fruits of democracy,” Shah remarked, underscoring the transformation under the current government.(KINS)
