MENDHAR/JAMMU, Oct 17: A joint search operation was initiated by the police and army at Mohri Shahstar in the Gursai Top area late Wednesday night after receiving intelligence reports on the presence of terrorists, officials said.
Security forces confronted the terrorists moving towards the forest, resulting in a brief exchange of gunfire. Reinforcements were quickly deployed, and a large-scale search operation is currently underway to track down the suspects. Drones, sniffer dogs, and a helicopter have been brought in to assist in the search, with the helicopter spotted hovering over the forested region earlier this morning.
