Srinagar, Oct 22 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah visited the residence of Dr. Shahnawaz Dar in Budgam on Tuesday, extending his condolences to the bereaved family. Dr. Dar who along with other six innocent people were tragically killed by terrorists in the Gagangir area of Ganderbal on October 20.
News agency KINS reported that Omar Abdullah, accompanied by senior government officials and local representatives, spent time with Dr. Dar’s grieving family, offering words of comfort. Expressing his outrage over the killing, he condemned the act of violence that have disrupted the peace in the region.
Omar Abdullah called for swift justice, urging security agencies to take all necessary steps to bring the perpetrators to justice. “We will not allow these cowardly acts of violence to overshadow the spirit of harmony in Jammu and Kashmir,” Omar stated.
Security forces have intensified operations in the Ganderbal district to track down those responsible for the heinous crime.(KINS)
