Tariq Ahmed Karra Mourns Passing of Devinder Singh Rana, Calls Him ‘Visionary Politician and Guiding Light’

Former Finance Minister and senior political leader Tariq Ahmed Karra expressed deep shock and sadness over the passing of Devinder Singh Rana, describing him as a “visionary politician and exceptional human being.” Reflecting on Rana’s enduring support and kindness, Karra shared a personal memory of the late leader’s encouragement after he presented Jammu and Kashmir’s first zero-budget proposal in the Assembly. “He was the first to call and congratulate me on my presentation of the budget,” Karra said, recalling Rana’s words of affirmation as pivotal.

Karra praised Rana as an outstanding orator, a great friend, and a guiding light whose legacy will inspire future generations. “His passing leaves an unfillable void in J&K,” Karra noted, emphasizing Rana’s contributions to the community and his selfless commitment to its people.

Offering his heartfelt condolences to Rana’s family and loved ones, Karra expressed solidarity with them during this difficult time. “May his soul rest in peace, and may his loved ones find strength in shared memories,” Karra added, honoring the memory of Devinder Singh Rana and his lasting impact on Jammu and Kashmir.
