Police Seize 2 Vehicles, Arrest 2 Drivers in Sopore for Illegal Mineral Extraction and Transportation

Srinagar, Nov 28 (KINS): In a significant crackdown on illegal mining and transportation of minerals, Sopore police have seized two vehicles and arrested two individuals involved in the illicit activity.
A team from Police Station Tarzoo, led by the Station House Officer (SHO), conducted the operation, seizing two tractors used for illegal mineral extraction and transportation. The arrested individuals have been identified as Javaid Ahmad Dar, son of Mohammad Ramzan Dar, a resident of Haritar Sopore, and Parvaiz Ahmad Rather, son of Ghulam Ahmad Rather, a resident of Tarzoo Sopore.
A case has been registered at Police Station Tarzoo under the relevant sections of the law, and investigations are underway. Authorities have warned that those involved in illegal mining will face strict legal action. The police have also urged the community to report any criminal activities in their area to their local police stations.(KINS)
