DC Gbl reviews progress on Vaccination drive in district

GANDERBAL, AUGUST 31 ( KINS ) : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today chaired a meeting to review the status of ongoing Covid vaccination drive and other measures in the district.

During the meeting threadbare discussion was held on the status of ongoing vaccination drive and issues hindering the progress of vaccination in the district. The CMO briefed the meeting about the availability of vaccination, establishment of CVCs and progress on vaccination drives in the district.

The DC stressed upon the concerned officers/officials, including Tehsildars, DMOs and BDOs to ensure daily targets are achieved.

CMO was directed to ensure all 94 designated vaccination sites are active and sufficient medical staff is available on these sites.

She exhorted upon all the officers to intensify the process of Covid-19 vaccination drive for 18-44 years of age and special thrust shall be given on 2nd dose for people over the age of 45 years and asked the concerned not to show any laxity in this regard.

The DC directed all the departments to work with added dedication and sought cooperation among all departments including Health, Revenue and Education to achieve the daily targets of vaccination.

Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Pir Muzafar Ahmad, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Farooq Ahmad Baba, GM DIC, CPO, DFO CMO, Tehsildars, BMOs, BDOs and other concerned.
