SSP Kulgam Reviews Winter Preparedness and CCTNS Progress

Srinagar, Jan 4 (KINS): Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kulgam, Shri Sahil Sarangal (IPS), chaired a meeting at the District Police Office (DPO) Kulgam to assess the implementation of the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) and the district’s readiness for winter.
During the meeting, the SSP evaluated the progress of CCTNS, a nationwide initiative to create an integrated system for tracking crimes and criminals. Officers were directed to expedite the digitization of legacy data and ensure its daily synchronization to facilitate transparent e-policing for the public.
Discussions on winter preparedness included snow clearance, emergency response plans, and public safety measures. SSP Sarangal stressed the importance of a prompt and coordinated approach to address public grievances and maintain law and order during the winter months.
The meeting was attended by the Additional SP Kulgam, Additional SP NHW Qazigund, SDPOs, SHOs, IC PPs, and CCTNS operators from the district.
The SSP emphasized the need for seamless implementation of CCTNS and winter plans to ensure the safety and well-being of the public.(KINS)
