Jammu, Jan 21 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah arrived in Badhal village in Rajouri today to assess the situation surrounding the unexplained deaths that have shaken the community.
Omar Abdullah, accompanied by Minister Javed Ahmad Rana, met with the affected families and reviewed the ongoing investigation.
CM Omar assured residents that the government is fully committed to uncovering the cause of the tragic deaths, with multiple agencies actively involved in the investigation.
“The Special Investigation Team (SIT) is investigating the matter. The civil administration is also probing the situation, and the central government has constituted a team to look into it,” CM told media, as per news gathering agency KINS.
The Jammu and Kashmir administration had previously formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) consisting of senior police officers and medical experts to probe the deaths. An inter-ministerial team, established by the Home Ministry, is working closely with local authorities to investigate all possible causes, including reviewing food and medicine consumed by the affected families, and exploring the possibility of poisoning linked to local rivalries.
The series of unexplained deaths has caused widespread fear and uncertainty within the community, with locals demanding transparency and clarity about the situation.
“The series of deaths is unprecedented, and we are committed to a transparent and thorough investigation,” a source close to the investigation said. “We are working closely with experts to uncover the cause of this tragedy.”
Initial investigations have ruled out commonly known causes, heightening the mystery surrounding the deaths. As medical experts and investigators continue their work, there is hope that the cause of this tragic event will soon be determined.
