Srinagar, Feb 11 (KINS): Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, has said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government is committed to terror-free Jammu and Kashmir.

In the last couple of days, Home Minister Amit Shah presided over a series of high-level meetings in New Delhi to assess the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

These deliberations follow similar meetings with the Indian Army and J&K Police on February 4th and 5th, 2025.

Reaffirming the Central Government’s unwavering commitment to a ‘Terror-Free Jammu & Kashmir’ under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Shah in a meeting in News Delhi underscored the critical role of paramilitary forces in achieving this objective.

News agency KINS reported that the Home Minister directed the BSF to implement a zero-infiltration policy along international borders by enhancing vigilance, fortifying border grids, and integrating advanced surveillance technologies.

The CRPF was instructed to maintain strong coordination with the Indian Army and J&K Police, with a special focus on executing a comprehensive winter action plan and ensuring robust area domination, particularly in the Jammu region’s elevated terrains.

Shah also evaluated the intelligence framework in Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing the need for expanded coverage, deeper penetration, and the generation of high-quality intelligence. He highlighted the pivotal role of technology in intelligence gathering and stressed the importance of dismantling the terror ecosystem, curbing narco-terrorism, and cutting off terror financing.

The Home Minister reiterated the Modi government’s ‘Zero Terror Plan’, emphasizing decisive action against anti-national propaganda and ensuring accurate narratives reach the public. He called for continuous synergy among all security agencies, the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, and a sustained, alert posture to eradicate terrorism from the region.

Assuring unwavering support, Shah pledged that all necessary resources will be provided to security forces in their mission to secure Jammu and Kashmir.(KINS)
