One Dead as Car plunges into deep gorge in Ramban

Ramban, Feb 12 (KINS): A tragic accident in the Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir claimed one life on Wednesday when a Swift car bearing registration number JK-02BC 5010 on his way from Jammu to
Srinagar veered off the road and plunged into a deep gorge near Battery Chashma.

According to reports received by news agency KINS, the vehicle lost control and fell into the gorge, resulting in the death of one individual.

The deceased has been identified as Amit Koul, son Badrinath Koul, a resident of Pattan Kashmir, presently living at Jammu.

Rescue operations were immediately launched by local authorities and volunteers, who rushed to the spot following the incident.

A traffic police official at the scene said, “Despite our efforts, such accidents are unfortunately not uncommon. We are investigating the cause of the mishap.”(KINS)
