MLA Ahsan Pardesi Seeks Clarity on Power Distribution from Zewan Bala Sub-Station

Jammu, March 5 (KINS): MLA Lal Chowk, Ahsan Pardesi, has raised concerns in the assembly over the power distribution from the Zewan Bala receiving sub-station, seeking clarity on its intended beneficiaries.

Pardesi highlighted that the sub-station, established during the National Conference (NC) tenure in 2010, was originally designed to provide a stable electricity supply to the residents of Zewan and Zawoora. However, he expressed apprehension that instead of serving the local population, the facility was now primarily catering to a newly established migrant colony. He demanded a clear response from the government on whether the local residents would continue to receive power from the same infrastructure.

Responding to his intervention, the government assured that the third feeder of the newly developed sub-station would be dedicated to supplying electricity to the local population of Zewan and Zawoora.

Welcoming this assurance, Pardesi thanked the government, emphasizing that the decision would help address the concerns of local residents and ensure equitable power distribution.(KINS)
