NC Leader Salman Ali Sagar urges swift action on Daily wager regularisation, electricity Amnesty
Srinagar, March 11 (KINS): National Conference (NC) leader and MLA Hazratbal, Salman Ali Sagar, strongly raised the issues of regularizing daily wagers, casual labourers, HDF employees, CIC operators, NYC workers, and other temporary employees in the Assembly today.
He also advocated for a one-time electricity amnesty to provide relief to consumers struggling with outstanding dues.
Welcoming the government’s decision to form a committee to examine these crucial matters, Sagar stressed the need for swift and decisive action to ensure justice for affected workers and relief for consumers burdened by electricity bills.
He as per news agency KINS highlighted that thousands of workers have been serving in various departments for years without job security or timely wages. “Despite their dedicated service, their future remains uncertain. The government must expedite their regularisation to provide stability and dignity to these workers,” he urged.
Additionally, he pushed for a one-time electricity amnesty, calling for the waiver of penalties and interest on pending dues to ease the financial burden on consumers.
“The formation of a committee is a step forward, but the government must act without further delay. These workers and consumers need immediate relief,” Sagar asserted.
Reaffirming his commitment, he vowed to continue advocating for these pressing issues until a fair resolution is achieved.(KINS)
