Army Completes Bailey Bridge in Cloudburst-Hit Chasoti

Kishtwar, Aug 18 (KINS): In a major step towards strengthening rescue and relief operations in cloudburst-hit Chasoti village of Kishtwar, the Army has successfully completed the construction of a Bailey bridge, restoring vital connectivity to the affected area.

Leader of Opposition (LoP) Sunil Sharma confirmed the development, saying, “In close coordination with the Army, the construction of the bridge has been successfully completed, ensuring smoother access for rescue and relief operations in the aftermath of the devastating cloudburst. This timely step will greatly assist in reaching the affected families and expediting ongoing efforts.”

The newly erected bridge will allow rescue teams, relief material, and essential supplies to move more efficiently into the worst-affected zones. Authorities believe it will significantly speed up rehabilitation measures and provide much-needed support to stranded villagers.(KINS)
