JKPCC Chief visits Pargwal Border post, assesses flood losses, assures INC support

Jammu, Sept 08 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Tariq Hameed Karra, along with senior party leaders, on Monday visited the Zero Line at Mirpur border post in Pargwal, Akhnoor, to take stock of the situation following the recent floods triggered by heavy rains in the Chenab River.

During the visit, Karra as per news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) interacted with the local population, listened to their grievances, and assessed the damages caused by the rising waters. He lauded the courage and resilience of the border residents, who continue to live under difficult conditions, braving both natural calamities and security challenges.

Karra assured the people that the Congress party stands firmly with them in this hour of crisis. He also urged the administration to act swiftly in providing compensation and assistance to the affected families.(KINS)
