CM Omar Abdullah unveils Hummel, Real Kashmir FC’s Peace Jersey
Srinagar, Sep 21: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday unveiled Hummel and Real Kashmir FC’s Peace Jersey at the TRC Ground Srinagar.
Minister for Youth Services and Sports Satish Sharma, Advisor to the CM Nasir Aslam Wani, MLA Tanvir Sadiq, Commissioner Secretary Social Welfare Department Sarmad Hafeez, Secretary Sports Council Nuzhat Gul and representatives of RKFC and Hummel were present on the occasion.
Speaking to reporters, the CM said sports infrastructure was being developed across Jammu and Kashmir.
He also praised the RKFC for promoting football in the valley.
He added that the government was assessing losses to fruit crops caused by the closure of the highway and assured compensation to farmers.
The Peace Jersey—a special edition kit—has been designed to spread a message beyond football. Inspired by Kashmir’s spirit of unity and resilience, it reflects the power of sport to heal, inspire, and bring people together.
The jersey draws inspiration from Hari Parbat Fort in Srinagar, a historic landmark symbolizing unity with its shrine, temple, and gurdwara standing side by side. Its soothing sky-blue tone represents peace and harmony, while evoking the vastness of the sky as a space of hope and freedom. Mountain graphics symbolize growth, and dove motifs represent harmony. The jersey is part of a larger mission to change the world through sport in partnership with Real Kashmir FC. It will be available on hummel.net.in from September 21, 2025.
