Dry spell to continue till Oct 5 in J&K, Light rain expected thereafter: MeT

Srinagar, Sept 26 (KINS): The Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Friday forecast generally dry weather across Jammu and Kashmir from September 26 to October 5.

According to the advisory as per news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS), dry conditions will prevail across the Union Territory till the late afternoon or evening of October 5, with a gradual drop in both day and night temperatures expected from September 29 onwards.

For the outlook between October 6 and 8, the MeT office has predicted generally cloudy weather with a few spells of light rain in the plains and light snowfall over higher and extremely higher reaches at isolated to scattered places.

The department has also issued an advisory for farmers, urging them to continue harvesting paddy and carrying out other agricultural operations during the prevailing dry spell.(KINS)
