Srinagar, Oct 24 (KINS): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu and Kashmir, organized a celebration at its Party Headquarters in Srinagar to mark the victory of UT President Sat Sharma in the Rajya Sabha elections.
According to news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS), Sat Sharma, along with Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma and BJP MLAs, joined the gathering to celebrate the party’s historic win.
The celebration follows the first Rajya Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir since the abrogation of Article 370, where Sat Sharma secured the BJP’s seat while the National Conference won three of the four seats.
“Party workers and supporters in large numbers greet the leaders and rejoice in the BJP’s success in the Union Territory’s upper house polls,” a senior BJP leader said.(KINS)
