BJP MLA RS Pathania alleges discrimination, seeks fair share of funds for Udhampur

Srinagar, Oct 27 (KINS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA RS Pathania on Monday urged the government to ensure a fair allocation of funds to Udhampur district, alleging that the region has been facing discrimination in developmental budgeting.
Raising the issue in the Legislative Assembly, Pathania said Udhampur has consistently received a lower share of funds compared to other districts.
“We don’t get our due share. We are allocated lesser funds when compared to other districts. We only demand our rightful share so that developmental schemes are fully implemented on the ground,” he said, according to news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS).
The BJP MLA urged the government to review fund distribution parameters to ensure equitable development across Jammu and Kashmir. (KINS)
