Major General Tushar Sharma takes command of Kilo Force in North Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 01 (KINS): Major General Tushar Sharma has assumed command of the Counter Insurgency Force (Kilo) in North Kashmir as its 21st General Officer Commanding, succeeding Major General Vivek Narang.

An alumnus of the prestigious National Defence Academy (NDA), Major General Sharma has held several key command and staff appointments across diverse terrains and formations. He brings with him vast experience in counter-terrorism operations and a proven track record of leadership in challenging operational environments.

Upon assuming charge, Major General Sharma paid homage to the Bravehearts who laid down their lives in the line of duty. He called upon all ranks to uphold the proud legacy of the formation with unwavering commitment, professionalism, and devotion to duty.

The General Officer also underscored the importance of maintaining high levels of combat readiness to effectively counter any hostile or nefarious designs in North Kashmir.(KINS)
