Rahi Masoom Raza’s legacy inspires youth to dream and believe in their potential: LG Manoj Sinha

Srinagar, Nov 01(KINS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday paid tributes to noted writer Dr. Rahi Masoom Raza, describing him as one of the greatest literary figures of his time whose works continue to inspire generations.

Delivering the keynote address at the International Seminar on Dr. Rahi Masoom Raza held in Srinagar, the Lieutenant Governor said, “Dr. Rahi Masoom Raza inspired generations to dream and believe in their potential. He earned a hallowed place in India’s literary history through his remarkable contribution to literature and culture.”

The Lt Governor further said that Dr. Raza’s legacy of inclusivity, harmony, and shared humanity remains deeply relevant today, guiding youth towards creativity, confidence, and nation-building. “Dr. Rahi Masoom Raza was deeply rooted in the spiritual and cultural traditions of the country and always believed in shared humanity that transcended individual differences. He promoted interconnectedness, inclusivity, peaceful coexistence, and harmony among different faiths,” the Lt Governor said.

Highlighting the enduring influence of Dr. Raza’s writings, the Lt Governor said his tangible and intangible legacy remains a priceless beacon for younger generations. “I believe the rich legacy of Dr. Rahi Masoom Raza will continue to guide our society toward progress and prosperity by fostering shared identity and social cohesion,” he added.

Addressing the gathering, Sinha underlined the need to draw inspiration from India’s cultural roots while embracing modern innovations. “For holistic development, we must blend tradition with technology and focus on modern advancements to ensure equal opportunities for all,” he said.

Emphasizing the importance of national identity and cultural revival, the Lt Governor stated, “Our cultural heritage can foster a collective identity, build resilience and solidarity among diverse groups, and drive economic growth. We must learn from the past to gain self-confidence and let historical wisdom and ideals guide us toward future opportunities.”

He further said that the ultimate goal of all efforts should be to “foster peace and prosperity and realize the vision of Viksit Bharat.”(KINS)
