J&K Police launch massive crackdown on Jamaat-e-Islami Network in Shopian

SHOPIAN, Nov 12 (KINS):In a major, well-coordinated operation, Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted extensive searches across multiple locations in Shopian district, targeting individuals and premises linked to the banned organisation Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI), which stands proscribed under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

The large-scale operation forms part of the ongoing preventive measures aimed at identifying and neutralising networks attempting to revive the activities of proscribed groups through covert means. All individuals with past affiliations to the banned organisation were covered during the searches.

These actions are intended to dismantle the terror–separatist ecosystem, disrupt its ideological and logistical support structures, and maintain peace and public order in the district.

Reaffirming its unwavering commitment, the J&K Police stated that strict action will continue against all individuals and entities associated with proscribed organisations to ensure lasting peace, stability, and security across the Union Territory.(KINS)
