Udhampur, Nov 29 (KINS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday said that Jammu & Kashmir has witnessed a renewed push toward growth and transformation since 2019, with the administration committed to building a progressive, resilient and people-centric Union Territory.
“After 2019, we have worked with new energy to give impetus to the making of a new J&K UT. A strong foundation has been laid in the past five years, and keeping sustainable development and individual growth paramount, we are committed to fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of the people,” LG said as per news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS).
The Lieutenant Governor laid the foundation stones for the construction of 341 houses that were damaged during the devastating natural calamities in August this year. The project, with a total estimated cost of ₹34 crore, aims to rehabilitate the affected families and restore normalcy in the region.
LG Manoj Sinha expressed gratitude to HRDS-India for partnering in this initiative and supporting the government’s efforts to rebuild lives. “I am thankful to HRDS-India for this noble initiative to shape a better future for the flood-affected families,” he said.
He reiterated the administration’s resolve to ensure that every citizen of the Union Territory benefits from inclusive development, and that welfare measures reach those most in need. The LG said the government remains committed to accelerating growth, strengthening infrastructure, and improving the quality of life across Jammu & Kashmir.(KINS)
