Light Snow expected in higher reaches;fog to continue at many places in Kashmir division and isolated areas of Jammu division: MeT issues detailed weather forecast for Dec 11–25

Srinagar, Dec 11 (KINS): The Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Thursday shared a fresh weather update for Jammu & Kashmir, saying that the next two weeks will mostly remain cloudy, with chances of light snowfall in the higher areas and fog continuing in several parts of the region.
As per the MeT forecast, December 11–12 will see partly cloudy weather across J&K.
From December 13–17, the weather may remain partly to generally cloudy, with a chance of very light snowfall over a few higher reaches of North and Central Kashmir, mainly during late night or early morning.
On December 18–19, the sky will continue to stay partly to generally cloudy.
For December 20–21, the MeT has predicted generally cloudy skies towards evening, along with a possibility of light rain or snow at scattered places in Kashmir and at isolated locations in Jammu division.
From December 22–25, the weather is expected to stay partly cloudy.
Advisory
The MeT Centre has said that shallow to moderate fog will likely continue in many areas of the Kashmir division and at isolated spots in the Jammu division, which may affect visibility and travel conditions.(KINS)
