LoP Sunil Sharma conducts two-day tour of Paddar and Gandhari, reviews development works and public grievances

Kishtwar, Dec 11 (KINS): Leader of Opposition (LoP) Sunil Sharma carried out a two-day extensive tour of Paddar and Gandhari areas in the Paddar–Nagseni Assembly Constituency, accompanied by senior officials of the Kishtwar district administration. The visit aimed to review ongoing developmental projects, assess local issues, and ensure timely execution of essential works in the remote region.

During the tour, Sharma inspected multiple development projects, including road connectivity improvements, water supply schemes, school infrastructure upgrades, and health-care facilities. He directed the concerned departments to maintain quality standards and expedite all pending works that directly impact the daily lives of people in these far-flung areas.

Sharma also held public darbars at several locations, giving residents the opportunity to raise their issues directly. Locals highlighted problems related to poor road connectivity, drinking water shortages, irregular electricity, and gaps in basic amenities.

He instructed the officials accompanying him to take immediate steps to address all genuine grievances and stressed the importance of transparent communication between the administration and the local population for quicker resolution of issues.

As part of the review, Sharma checked the distribution of solar lights—an initiative aimed at helping households in remote villages facing frequent power outages. He directed officials to ensure a fair, need-based, and fully documented distribution process so that all eligible families receive the benefit without delay.

Addressing the public, the LoP said his priority is to ensure that the voices of the people of Paddar and Gandhari are heard and acted upon. “Development cannot stay on paper. It must be visible and felt by every household,” he said. Sharma added that he has instructed the administration to remove bottlenecks and accelerate ongoing projects so that these areas get their due share of development.

He assured residents that he will continue to monitor progress on all issues raised during the visit and reaffirmed his commitment to regularly touring remote regions while maintaining close coordination with district authorities to ensure sustained and inclusive development across Kishtwar district.(KINS)
