Srinagar, Jan 26 (KINS): On the eve of the 77th Republic Day, the Additional Resident Commissioner (ARC), Jammu and Kashmir Government, Shri Anil Sharma, unfurled the National Flag at Jammu and Kashmir House, 5-Prithvi Raj Road, New Delhi.
The ceremonial event was marked by a Guard of Honour presented by a contingent of the J&K Armed Police. Officers and officials of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir posted in New Delhi attended the समारोह with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.
Adding colour and vibrancy to the celebrations, a cultural programme highlighting the rich and diverse heritage of Jammu and Kashmir was presented. On the occasion, officials who rendered exemplary services in the field of administration were also felicitated in recognition of their dedication and commitment.
Addressing the gathering, the Additional Resident Commissioner interacted with the officers and officials of J&K House and extended warm greetings on the occasion of Republic Day, emphasizing the values enshrined in the Constitution and the spirit of national unity.
A similar Republic Day function was also organised at J&K House, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, where the national celebrations were observed with equal enthusiasm and patriotic fervour.(KINS)
