UPSC Civil services preliminary examination conducted smoothly across Srinagar centres: Div Com Kashmir

Srinagar, May 24 (KINS): The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir on Sunday said that the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026 was conducted successfully across nine sub-centres established in Srinagar under the strict supervision of Divisional Administration Kashmir.
The examination was held amid robust security measures and elaborate administrative arrangements to ensure smooth conduct. Authorities also ensured uninterrupted power supply and other essential facilities at all examination centres.
For the first time, face authentication for candidates’ attendance was carried out successfully with 100 percent accuracy across all sub-centres, the Divisional Commissioner said.
A total of 2,001 candidates, including 27 Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates, appeared in the examination.
An exclusive sub-centre for PwD candidates was established at Government College of Education, M.A. Road Srinagar, equipped with all necessary facilities for the convenience of specially-abled aspirants.(KINS)
