Jammu to Srinagar in 5 hours: Vande Bharat service from March 1

Srinagar Feb 24: Passengers will soon be able to travel between Jammu and Srinagar on the Vande Bharat Express, with the service set to begin from March 1. The inaugural run on the same day will mark the extension of the train beyond its current terminal at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to Jammu.

Until now, the Vande Bharat Express has been operating between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Srinagar. The extension to Jammu will allow passengers to board the train directly from Jammu, removing the need to change their mode of transport at Katra.
