Traffic advisory issued for Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan rally in Baramulla tomorrow

Srinagar, May 11(KINS): The Traffic Police Rural Kashmir has issued a traffic advisory for May 12 in view of the mega “Padh Yatra” rally being organised under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan in Baramulla town.
According to the advisory, vehicular movement from Railway Crossing Baramulla to Bus Stand Crossing along the Baramulla-Uri road will remain completely suspended from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Tuesday. Motorists have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel on the route during the event.
To ensure smooth movement of traffic, the police have announced diversion plans for commuters travelling between Srinagar and Uri.
Srinagar-bound traffic coming from Uri and Baramulla will be diverted via Khanpora Bridge, Old Town, Ladoora and Sangrama before joining the Srinagar-Baramulla highway.
Similarly, Uri and Baramulla-bound traffic from Srinagar will be diverted through Sangrama, Juhama, Ladoora, Old Town and Khanpora Bridge.
The Traffic Police also issued a separate advisory regarding vehicles ferrying rally participants. Vehicles from South and Central Kashmir, Kupwara, Bandipora and Sopore areas will be directed towards parking slots at Railway Station, ITI and Fruit Mandi through designated routes via Sangrama and Delina.
Meanwhile, vehicles coming from Uri, Biniyar and Gulmarg areas will be routed through Sheeri, Khanpora Bridge and Baramulla-Uri road, with parking arranged at the General Bus Stand, Truck Yard (Uri Adda) and Sumo Stand.
The advisory was issued by Senior Superintendent of Police Traffic Rural Kashmir, Liaqat Ali, in public interest for information and compliance.(KINS)
