LG Manoj Sinha leads Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyaan Padyatra in Baramulla

Baramulla, May 12 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday led a massive padyatra in Baramulla, as part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyaan aimed at spreading awareness against drug abuse among youth.

News agency Kashmir Indpeth News Service (KINS) reported that a large number of students, youth, officials, police personnel, civil society members, and local residents participated in the padyatra, carrying messages promoting a drug-free society and encouraging collective efforts to eradicate the menace of substance abuse from Jammu and Kashmir.

The Lieutenant Governor stressed the importance of public participation in defeating the growing threat of drugs and urged the youth to stay away from narcotics and focus on education, sports, and nation-building activities.

During his recent anti-drug awareness campaigns and padyatras across Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha has repeatedly emphasized that “Drugs destroy families, careers, and the future of society,” while calling upon parents, teachers, religious leaders, and youth to join hands in the mission for a “Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir.”

He has also stated in earlier yatras that the administration is committed to taking strict action against drug peddlers while simultaneously focusing on rehabilitation, awareness, sports activities, and youth engagement programmes to save young generations from addiction.

The padyatra in Baramulla witnessed enthusiastic participation, with people raising slogans supporting the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan and pledging to work collectively towards making society drug-free.(KINS)
