J&K Bank shines at Finacle Innovation Awards 2026, wins Gold for AI-driven Analytics

Prestigious recognition marks another significant milestone in the Bank’s digital transformation journey

Srinagar, Jun 03: J&K Bank has won Gold at the Finacle Innovation Awards 2026 in the category “Modern Technologies-led Innovation – Data Insights & Analytics Platform,” underscoring its emergence as a technology-driven financial institution and marking another significant milestone in its digital transformation journey.

MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee received the award along with General Manager (Strategy & IT/CIO) Mohammad Muzaffar Wani at the gala event organised by Infosys Finacle in Mumbai under the theme “Recomposing Banking – A Playbook for the Next Phase of Banking Transformation.” The significance of the recognition is further amplified by the fact that the awards attracted nearly 500 nominations from financial institutions across the ecosystem, making the achievement highly competitive this year. The Finacle Innovation Awards honour banks that are redefining banking through innovation and technology-led transformation.

Commenting on the achievement, Managing Director & CEO Amitava Chatterjee said, “At J&K Bank, our innovation journey has been defined by transforming data into decisions. We have built a robust Data Insights and Analytics Platform that delivers real-time intelligence across operations. The platform has enabled us to serve our customers with greater precision, speed, and personalization — driving measurable business outcomes and setting a new benchmark for technology-led banking excellence.”

He further noted that the recognition validates the Bank’s strategic focus on building a digitally agile, data-driven, and future-ready institution capable of delivering superior value to customers while maintaining high standards of governance, efficiency, and risk management.

MD & CEO added, “This prestigious recognition is also a testament to the dedication and collaborative efforts of our employees across business, technology and operations functions, whose commitment to innovation continues to propel the Bank towards higher levels of excellence. The same spirit of teamwork and transformation has played a vital role in delivering our historic financial performance and will remain central to our growth journey going forward.”

The Bank earned the award for its Data Insights & Analytics Platform, a cloud-based enterprise data lake and analytics ecosystem that provides a unified and reliable data source for reporting, business intelligence, advanced analytics and AI applications. As part of the initiative, the Bank has successfully deployed multiple AI/ML-driven use cases across operational efficiency, forecasting, customer analytics, risk and credit management, customer retention and business performance enhancement.

Notably, this recognition places the Bank among India’s leading banking innovators as Finacle India Connect 2026 brought together over 200 banking and technology leaders, industry experts and ecosystem partners from across the country’s BFSI landscape to deliberate on the next phase of banking transformation, culminating in the announcement of the Finacle Innovation Awards 2026.

Meanwhile, the award comes close on the heels of the Bank’s highest-ever annual profit and record financial performance for FY 2025–26, demonstrating how strategic investments in technology, analytics and innovation are translating into stronger business outcomes, enhanced customer experience and improved operational efficiency.
