EJAC Condoles Demise of Former Bureaucrat Ghazanfar Ali
Srinagar Aug 28: The Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) Jammu and Kashmir has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of former senior bureaucrat Ghazanfar Ali.
In a heartfelt condolence message, Senior Trade Union Leader and President EJAC, Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam, expressed his profound sympathy with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. He described Ghazanfar Ali as a dedicated, upright and compassionate officer whose contribution to public administration would be remembered for a long time. Ghazanfar Ali held several important and key positions during his illustrious career, including Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Deputy Commissioner Shopian Director Rural Devlopment Department and Director Handicrafts, besides serving in various other important capacities in the administration.
Recalling his personal association with the deceased, Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam said that he had the opportunity to work closely with Ghazanfar Ali during his tenure as Director Handicrafts. He said that his association with the late officer left a lasting impression, particularly because of his humble and generous nature. Shabnam said that he was an extremely polite, humble and generous person, always approachable and considerate towards his subordinates. Despite holding important positions, he remained grounded and treated everyone with dignity and respect.
He further said that Ghazanfar Ali was known for his simplicity, decency and commitment to public service.
Shabnam conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends, colleagues and admirers of the deceased and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the departed soul eternal peace and Jannat-ul-Firdous and give the bereaved family the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
