Kashmir’s First Laser, Light & Sound Show Unveiled at Dagger Heritage Complex

Srinagar, June 21: The Indian Army’s Chinar Corps, Dagger Division, and Pir Panjal Brigade, supported by the Punit Balan Group, have inaugurated Kashmir Valley’s first Laser, Light & Sound Show at the Dagger Heritage Complex in Boniyar. The event was launched on June 21, 2024, by Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, with the presence of GOC Chinar Corps, GOC Dagger Division, and Punit Balan, Chairman of the Punit Balan Group.
This groundbreaking show, narrated by the ancient Boniyar Temple through the voice of renowned Radio Kashmir broadcaster Talha Jehangir, vividly illustrates Kashmir’s rich historical and cultural heritage, along with the military valor that has safeguarded the region. Spanning 28 minutes, the visually captivating presentation takes the audience through centuries of Kashmir’s history, highlighting the geological and mystical evolution of the valley, the influence of various dynasties, and the ongoing contributions of the Indian Army in maintaining peace and security.
Designed by Creative Laser Systems of Bangalore, the show aims to attract both locals and tourists, offering an enlightening experience of Kashmir’s past and its hopeful future. Complementing the show, the Dagger Museum showcases the Indian Army’s sacrifices and social welfare efforts in the region.
The initiative promises to boost tourism in Boniyar, with improved access through the widening of the Baramulla–Uri highway and a new railway line to Uri, making it a prominent destination in the Union Territory’s tourist map.
