JAMMU, JULY 12: Shaliendra Kumar, Principal Secretary of the Agriculture Production Department (APD), chaired a meeting to review the progress of various ongoing development projects. The focus was on the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Capex projects, and Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS), as well as evaluating the Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) of JKCIP for the financial year 2024-25.
Attendees included the Director of Animal Husbandry Jammu, the Manager of the Frozen Semen Bank Jammu, Chief Animal Husbandry Officers, and other relevant officials.
In his address, Kumar highlighted the crucial role of these projects in promoting the growth of the dairy and poultry sectors to enhance rural livelihoods. He urged the officers to meet set targets within the stipulated timelines and ensure optimal use of allocated resources. He also called for the acceleration of ongoing projects to promptly deliver benefits to the farming community.
Officers provided detailed updates on the implementation status, discussed challenges faced, and outlined strategies to expedite pending activities under these schemes.
