Srinagar, July 20: Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, visited the Nunwan base camp set up for the Amarnath Yatra to review the arrangements for the ongoing pilgrimage to the holy cave shrine.
During his visit, Advisor Bhatnagar engaged with officials and stakeholders managing various aspects of the yatra, including accommodation, healthcare facilities, and security measures. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of service delivery and safety protocols to ensure a smooth experience for all pilgrims.
He also interacted with the pilgrims, inquiring about their experiences during the yatra, and spoke with service providers, doctors, sanitation workers, administrative, and security officials. Bhatnagar took note of the various facilities available for the pilgrims.
Bhatnagar directed all representatives of concerned departments and service providers to take every possible measure for the safe and smooth conduct of the pilgrimage. He stressed the need for coordination among different agencies and stakeholders to maintain the momentum of preparations and uphold the sanctity of the holy yatra.
Additionally, the Advisor inspected the hospital at the Nunwan Base Camp to review the medical facilities available for the devotees.
