Srinagar, July 20: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Upendra Dwivedi met with Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, today to deliberate on the prevailing security dynamics in the region. During the meeting, General Dwivedi assured LG Sinha of a synergetic approach by the Armed Forces and Security Agencies to tackle the current situation and maintain peace and stability in the region.
“The Armed Forces are committed to ensuring the safety and security of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. We are working in close coordination with all security agencies to address any challenges and maintain peace,” said General Dwivedi.
LG Sinha expressed confidence in the collaborative efforts of the security forces. “The synergy between the Armed Forces and Security Agencies is crucial for sustaining peace and stability in the region. I appreciate the dedication and hard work of all involved,” he stated.
General Dwivedi also chaired a high-level Joint Security Review Meeting in Jammu.
“The focus of the meeting was on thwarting the malevolent designs of terrorists and anti-national elements in the region” Army said.
“All stakeholders from Security Forces and Intelligence Agencies operating in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir attended the meeting. They discussed strategies and measures to enhance security and counter any threats posed by terrorist activities”.
“The meeting empisized that the
coordination and cooperation among all security agencies are vital in the efforts to combat terrorism and ensure the safety of citizens,” a senior security official aware of the meeting, said .
