Election Notification Issued for 24 Assembly Seats in Jammu & Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 20: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has officially announced the schedule for elections in 24 assembly constituencies of Jammu & Kashmir, with polling set for September 18. This comes after the Lieutenant Governor issued a separate notification, invoking the Representation of Peoples Act, 1951, to initiate the election process.
The constituencies where elections will be held include Pampore, Tral, Pulwama, Rajpora, Zainapora, Shopian, D.H. Pora, Kulgam, Devsar, Dooru, Kokernag (ST), Anantnag West, Anantnag, Srigufwara—Bijbehara, Shangus—Anantnag East, Pahalgam, Inderwal, Kishtwar, Padder–Nagseni, Bhadarwah, Doda, Doda West, Ramban, and Banihal.
