MHA’s decision to create five new districts in Ladakh welcomed by CEC Tashi Gyalson

Srinagar, Aug 26 (KINS): In response to the Union Ministry of Home Affairs’ decision to create five new districts in Ladakh, Chief Executive Councillor of the Ladakh Hill Development Council, Tashi Gyalson, expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. He called the announcement a significant step forward for the region’s development.
“I would like to thank and express my gratitude towards the PM and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. It’s a big announcement,” Gyalson said as per news agency KINS. “This decision will play a crucial role in the development and effective governance of Ladakh. It was a longstanding demand of the people, and we are grateful that it has been fulfilled.”
He further acknowledged the strategic and careful decision-making of the central government, noting, “The PM and the HM are making very calculative decisions, right from declaring Ladakh as a Union Territory. This move will further accelerate Ladakh’s growth and bring administrative services closer to the people.”
The creation of new districts is expected to bring enhanced governance, improved infrastructure, and streamlined administration, addressing the unique challenges of the vast and sparsely populated region.
Local leaders and activists across Ladakh have echoed similar sentiments, welcoming the decision as a historic moment for the region.(KINS)
